An agreement was signed between the Foundation and the
George
Washington
University
to establish and endow the Kuwait Chair for Gulf and
Arabian Peninsula Affairs in the Elliott School of
International Affairs at the George Washington
University.
This endowment provides the Elliott School
with a faculty member to focus on one of the most vital
regions of the world and gives students the resources
and expertise needed for an accurate understanding of
the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula.
Agreement Period
Five years (2005 – 2010).
The Kuwait Chair was occupied by
Amb. Edward W. Gnehm, Jr., Kuwait Professor of Gulf and
Arabian Peninsula Affairs, The Elliott School of
