The Kuwait Mathematics Program at the
University
of Cambridge,
launched in 1999, is primarily aimed at promoting study
and research in Number Theory, Algebra and History of
Arab Mathematics by providing support for research
posts, scholarships and lectures by eminent
international mathematicians.
It is also intended to provide a unique link
between contemporary Cambridge University mathematicians and their Arab predecessors,
highlighting and spreading their work through many
number theorists, thus expanding research in the
specific area at the University of Cambridge,
renowned worldwide as the seat of mathematical learning
and for its unparalleled contributions to furthering
knowledge in number theory.
KFAS initiated a ten-year program in support of
research and to encourage studies in number theory and
algebra by Arab mathematicians for the benefit and
enhancement of knowledge and contributions to
mathematics.
Agreement Period
