Majallat Al-Oloom is a monthly scientific magazine,
published byKuwait Foundation
for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) since 1986.
It is now a member of a very exclusive family of
publications that strive to disseminate accurate
up-to-date scientific information to every part of the
world: Majallat Al-Oloom is the Arabic
edition of one of 17
international foreign language editions of Scientific
American.
It is
one of the serious efforts aimed at rendering Arabic a
flexible communication medium in the services of all
Arab countries as they resume their march in the face of
the challenges and variables of the present era.
Majallat Al-Oloom stands as an important mechanism
for improving the communication of scientific knowledge
in the Arab World. It meets the critical need for
non-specialized scientific Arab magazine that provides
scientific information which goes well beyond what is
covered in standard school and university textbooks. It
enables the no-specialist Arab reader to follow
up-to-date scientific and technical information, and it
provides the specialist with a global knowledge about
his/her domain of specialization.
Majallat Al-Oloom helps satisfy some of the
scientific aspirations for sustained cultural
development of Kuwait and the Arab World.
