Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences offers an opportunity to finance a variety of online training courses on renewable energy and energy efficiency in association with Renewables Academy (RENAC). Training includes intensive support, real-time online classes, in addition to teaching materials through multimedia and self-assessment tests. Participants receive a certificate from RENAC Academy when they successfully complete the program.

The event will disseminate the results of a collaborative project initiated by KDD, funded with thanks by KFAS and clinically researched by DDI aimed at developing a suite of no-added-sugar products created on a science-based metabolic matrix to reengineer food and provide clinical evidence of efficacy.

KFAS nominate and sponsor 3 Kuwaiti young leaders to attend The 21^st Annual Meeting of Science and Technology in Society Forum 2024. They will attend all the sessions of the STS forum as regular participants. Representing the younger generations who bear the future of humankind, they will be expected to contribute their perspectives to the interactive dialogues of the forum. They will be able to build networks with the world’s top leaders and their peers and, in time, be part of the emerging movement to resolve the new types of problems stemming from the application of science and technology.

KFAS is sponsoring one seat to participate in the 44^th Oxford Energy Seminar. This Seminar is an opportunity to get intensive exposure to the latest developments in thinking and knowledge on problems of energy. A chance to understand the forces shaping the future environment in which both investment and policy decisions relating to energy will be made. There will also be a privileged opportunity for close contacts and fruitful dialogues between participants from petroleum exporting and importing countries.

KFAS is proud to announce the commencement of its second annual Science Month celebration, set to run from November 15th to December 12th, 2023.

What are Food Allergies?

- Food allergies are adverse health effects such as hypersensitive or abnormal immune system response to specific foods.
- There are eight main food allergens to be disclosed when used as an ingredient (listed on menu, labelled correctly and inform customers when they ask).
- Other Food Allergens are: Celery and their products, Mustard and their products, Sesame seeds and their products, Clams and their products, Legumes, Lubin and their products, and Sulphite (concentration of 10 ppm or more) - Based on Technical regulation: Labeling of Prepackaged Food Stuffs GSO 9/2013.

Google Certified Trainer course (train the trainer) enables educators to lead training workshops for other teachers on behalf of Google and empowers educators to learn and use Google for Education products to make their classrooms more efficient, improve student outcomes, and foster leadership skills.

Interested in enhancing your research with usage of AI?

It is a 3-day training designed for the local young researchers and scientists in Kuwait. This program will immense participants in the discussions of latest trends and developments in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in science; to understand the core technical attributes of machine learning and AI; to learn different steps of research process with technological possibilities of AI; and to understand the ethical limits of using AI for different research steps.

Requirements to apply for the application:
 - Kuwaiti national.
 - Minimum eligibility: master’s degree holders or graduate students, with an exemption for bachelor's degree holders employed by research institutes.
 - The applicant must have a degree in Science, Technology, or Innovation fields.
 - Priority in registration is for computing and business informatics related specialties.
